New Delhi: The surreal state of Himachal Pradesh celebrates Statehood Day today as it became India’s 18th state in 1971 on this day. Yami Gautam, who is closely associated with her Himachali roots, took to her social media to express the wishes of Himachal Diwas.
Yami, who had chosen to marry in her hometown and forego an international destination, has often spoken proudly of the state. The actress often visits Himachal and even takes care of her own farm, enjoying the medicinal fruits and plants. Apart from giving a glimpse of her peaceful life in Himachal, Yami has also often spoken about the success stories that came out of the state and has always been proud.
By posting an image on social media of her wedding in Himachal, Yami wished her fans “My Himachal… My Dev-bhoomi Happy Himachal Diwas”.
After a brilliant 2022, with films like ‘A Thursday’ and ‘Dasvi’, Yami looks set to continue her dream run in 2023. With ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’ a slick robbery thriller and ‘Lost’, an emotional thriller that touches on values of integrity and empathy.
Both films are another fine example of how she manages to balance the best of both worlds, with quality content and solid execution, an arena in which she never seems to disappoint.
