Veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge officially took charge as party chairman at the All India Congress Committee headquarters in the national capital on October 26. Sonia Gandhi congratulated Mallikarjun Kharge and said he would inspire the party as president. She also said the party has elected an experienced leader, who is also connected to Earth.
