IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said on Oct. 3 that their helicopter crew showed courage during High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR). “Our helicopter crew showed courage during HADR, the helicopter fleet goes first for indigenization… The induction of LCHs creates a unique opportunity. The helicopter has also proven itself in the Himalaya region,” said IAF chief VR Chaudhari.
