SC Holds PILs Seeking CBI, ED Investigations Against Jharkhand CM As Unmaintainable | News

The Supreme Court ruled on Nov. 7 that PILs seeking CBI and ED investigations against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren were untenable. “2 PILs have been filed to conduct CBI and ED investigations against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. One PIL was filed against owning more assets than income and others, related to illegal mining. There is currently no ongoing investigation against CM Soren. However, the Supreme Court has ruled PILs unenforceable. Reasons for this can be deduced from a detailed copy of the order,” said A Rai, the petitioner’s lawyer.
