Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, general secretary of the Congress in charge of Uttar Pradesh, participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by her brother Rahul Gandhi on the Madhya Pradesh leg for the second consecutive day on Friday.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra and their son Rehan were also seen matching Rahul Gandhi on the third day of the yatra’s Madhya Pradesh stage.
The yatra started in the morning from Kherda in Khargone district.
KK Mishra, chairman of the media branch of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, said Gandhi will reach Omkareshwar, one of the country’s 12 jyotirlings, in the evening.
Gandhi will pray at the temple and also participate in the Narmada river aarti, he said.
The yatra joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Madhya Pradesh from Burhanpur district on 23 November after completing its Maharashtra leg. It will cover 380 km in 12 days in the Malwa-Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh before entering Rajasthan. A large number of tribes live in this agricultural area.
