BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said Congress has a soft spot for the perpetrators of the 1984 Sikh riots

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday criticized Congress for accusing Jagdish Tytler of anti-Sikh riots in 1984 in the party’s Pradesh Election Commission for the Dec. 4 polls of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

“Congress has a soft spot for the perpetrators of the Sikh riots in 1984. They are always dear to the party’s high command because everything was done at their command. Tytler, whose hands are painted with the blood of thousands of innocent Sikhs, sits on the Delhi state electoral committee. This shows that Congress cannot stay away from the criminals of the 1984 riots,” BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa told media.

Congress is rubbing salt on the wounds of the Sikhs from the 1984 massacre by adding Jagdish Tytler to their Election Commission in Delhi State. It shows they have no remorse for what Rajiv Gandhi and his team did in 1984,” tweeted another BJP leader and party spokesman RP Singh.

Congress on Thursday released a list of 20 members of the Pradesh Election Commission for the MCD Polls that also includes the name Jagdish Tytler.
