Govt convenes all parties on December 6 ahead of the winter session of parliament

The government convened an all-party meeting on December 6 to discuss legislative matters and key issues likely to be dealt with during the winter session of parliament.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has sent invitations to the floor leaders of political parties in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for the meeting.

“It is my pleasure to invite you to a meeting of floor leaders of political parties in Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha to discuss legislative matters and important issues likely to be dealt with in the ensuing winter session of parliament,” the invitation read.

“I would also like to request your cooperation to ensure the smooth running of both Houses. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Parliament Library Building, Parliament House, New Delhi,” he said.

The winter session of parliament begins on December 7 and lasts until December 29, with 17 sessions spread over 23 days.
