West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited a primary school here in North 24 Parganas district on Wednesday and interacted with children.
Banerjee also distributed chocolates and stuffed animals among the students.
She later handed over winter clothes to the locals of Khapukur in Hasnabad.
People were heard complaining about drinking water problems at the CM.
Mihir Adhikari, a local resident, said that erosion of the river bank is another problem faced by the people of Hasnabad.
“We hope the CM will listen to our issues and address them,” he added.
Panchayat elections will be held in Bengal sometime next year.
