LG VK Saxena took note of Sisodia’s claim and urged Delhi Police to investigate
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Manish Sisodia, alleged on Thursday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conspired to assassinate Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for fear of damaging the elections for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi ( MCD) and Gujarat Assembly. He further claimed that BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has asked his ‘goondas’ to attack Kejriwal.
LG VK Saxena later learned of the claim and urged Delhi Police to investigate, sources said. “Make sure that such eventuality, orchestrated or otherwise, does not happen as much as possible,” he asked the police commissioner.
“AAP is not afraid of their petty politics, now the public will answer for their hooliganism,” Sisodia wrote on Twitter.

Sisodia’s comments came in response to Tiwari’s tweets earlier in the day in which he had expressed concern for Kejriwal’s safety while highlighting recent allegations of corruption and “ticket selling” to the MCD polls.

Earlier on Wednesday, Sisodia had attacked the BJP saying that the party had “failed” to fulfill its primary responsibility of maintaining cleanliness during its 15-year tenure in the civil body and that the people of Delhi ” appropriate answer” in the upcoming polls.
The AAP has taken up the issue of waste management in Delhi in an attempt to wrest power from the three-time BJP winner in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections.
