Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has appealed to all constitutional institutions in the country to help ‘save democracy’ from the hands of the BJP that has ruled the country for the past eight half years .
He claimed that the BJP’s main motto is to dethrone the non-BJP-ruled state governments in the country.
Speaking at a press conference at the Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad following high voltage polls in the Munugode Assembly constituency, KCR said it sent three-hour videos containing evidence of middlemen being sent by the BJP in an attempt to lure four TRS MLAs with Rs. 100 crore, civil contracts and plum piles to make sure they disembark and shift allegiance to the BJP.
The TRS chief claimed he has now sent that video to the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Supreme Court and High Court judges, investigative agencies such as Enforcement Directorate, Central Vigilance Commission, CBI, DGPs of all states and key leaders in the various political parties across the country. He also said they have submitted the three-hour video containing the discussion between the intermediaries and the TRS MLAs to the Telangana Supreme Court.
He urged the judiciary and all constitutional institutions in the country to go through the video and take action against the real culprits behind the alleged horse trade.
While releasing the sensational video in the presence of several media outlets, K Chandrasekhar Rao said the accused claimed they have dethroned governments in eight states and are in the process of overthrowing state governments in Rajasthan, Delhi, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The prime minister also showed the photo of Tushar, who unsuccessfully fought as an NDA candidate in the last general election against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of the Wayanad Parliament, with Interior Minister Amit Shah. He said the intermediaries informed him in a telephone conversation with Tushar that they have spoken with BL Santosh and Amit Shah and have assured that the payments will be made without fail as they lure the four MLAs.
K Chandrasekhar Rao also said the accused intermediaries allegedly used the interior minister’s name at least 20 times while trying to negotiate a deal with the MLAs.
“Is this political? Is this democracy? Perhaps other states (MLAs) are sold out as Telangana is a country with political and democratic consciousness. We caught the gang of three and the matter came to light. Country has suffered from difficult situations. The murder of democracy has taken place unashamedly. The BJP that came to power for eight years has ruined all sectors in the country. Conspiracies have taken place to divide the people and pollute the way of life of Indian democracy in the country. We have waited a long time to address the issue and make the truth public after the Munugode poll,” he said.
The Prime Minister urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end this kind of horse trade and the practice of dethroning the state governments in the country. The TRS chief warned Modi that the latter will get a bad name in history if he encourages such bad practices that explain the murder of democracy.
