Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Unboxing video, camera samples leaked, compared to Pixel 7 Pro: report

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be Samsung’s upcoming flagship series, which the company will unveil on February 1 at a Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event. The alleged camera samples of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra have now surfaced online and a Twitter user has also compared them to photos taken with a Google Pixel 7 Pro. The leak includes the alleged camera preview shots of the upcoming Samsung smartphone nicknamed Ultra in low-light conditions as well as shots taken with the smartphone’s dedicated zoom camera.

In a tweet shared on Twitter by Tipster Edwards Urbina, which has now been deleted, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra model was seen coming out of the box with a Cotton Flower color, according to a report by 9to5Google.

The Twitter user later shared another series of tweets that seemed to compare alleged photos taken on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone to those taken on the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The photos are said to have been taken using the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s selfie camera, low-light rear camera, and the smartphone’s dedicated zoom camera, which is compared to similar conditions on the Pixel 7 Pro.

The first like that tweeta selfie shot reportedly taken with the Samsung Galaxy S23’s front-facing camera is compared to another selfie shot taken with the Google Pixel 7 Pro.

Another tweet by Edwards Urbina, appears to compare macro shots taken on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with similar shots taken on the Google Pixel 7 Pro. Here, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s sensors seem to be able to capture more light and thus produce a brighter and more vibrant image compared to that of the Pixel 7 Pro.

The Twitter user too seems to compare the camera performance of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in low light. This is where the Samsung Galaxy S23 seems to fall short compared to the Pixel 7 Pro, with the former producing darker, noisier images than the latter.

The user too shared shots comparing the zoom camera capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Google Pixel 7. Here, at least at first glance, both cameras seem to perform fairly evenly.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be launched by Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event scheduled for 11:30 PM IST on February 1. It is tipped to have a 12-megapixel 3LU sensor for selfies and a triple camera on the back. that could be a 12-megapixel Sony IMX564 ultra-wide sensor and a Sony IMX754 telephoto lens, while it’s topped by a 200-megapixel HP2 primary sensor.
