Elon Musk will answer questions from Twitter Inc.’s attorneys on September 26 and 27. over his failed $44 billion purchase of the company, according to a court filing.

The impeachment, which will take place behind closed doors at a law firm in Wilmington, Delaware, could be extended to a third day if necessary.

Musk’s attorney Alex Spiro will have to make his own statement on Sept. 25, according to a separate filing. Spiro has argued a number of cases in court in this case.

Musk pulled out of his planned purchase of Twitter earlier this year, claiming the company was wrong with him about the number of spam and bot accounts among its more than 230 million users. Twitter says the concerns are a pretext to get out of a deal that has made the world’s richest person begin to feel remorse from the buyer, and it has filed suit against him in the Delaware Chancery Court.

The trial begins on October 17 and lasts five days. Dozens of private individuals, banks and companies have been summoned in the case.
