During a briefing on the latest development in business trade in India and the United Kingdom (UK), British High Commissioner for India Alex Ellis said on September 20 that the UK is on the brink of finalizing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on Diwali and wants to write a new chapter in India-UK bilateral relations. “Both Prime Ministers are determined to further strengthen business partnerships between India and the UK. We have a high ambition to complete the free trade agreement through Diwali, which will increase employment and bring economic development to India over the next 25 years,” he said.
