Actor R Madhavan still basks in the huge success of his directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect as fans continue to shower him and the entire team with praise and love. On Wednesday, Madhavan was in the national capital to promote his upcoming movie dhokha and while speaking with ANI, he revealed his future plans in directing. Madhavan said he is focusing more on his acting career and doesn’t think he wants to direct a movie anytime soon.
He said he is an “accidental director” and there are no plans to put the director’s hat on in the near future.
He said: “I’m a casual director…so to say I’m looking forward to directing another movie has to come to my heart or a story I’m dealing with, but right now I’m enjoying it.” making movies like this – dhokha for example.”
He added: “The audience is mature and demanding in the current age and age and you take a lot of money from them and they put a lot of effort into coming to see the film… and furthermore if you annoy them, then they are you’re not in a good light.”
Madhavan will be featured in dhokha next to Aparshakti Khurana, Darshan Kumar and Khushalii Kumar.
We asked him if he should ever direct his co-stars for the film, which genre he would choose. The actor burst out laughing, saying: “Right now I’m really enjoying my acting phase, but if I get to direct a cast like this it will be a privilege… comedy because we were a bunch of pranksters.”

dhoka is a co-production of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma and Vikrant Sharma.
The film is slated for a September 23 release.
