At Rs. 8.49 lakh, Tata Tiago EV makes electric cars affordable

Tata Tiago EV seems to be taking electric cars to an affordable level.

Tata Motors has expanded its range of electric cars with the new Tiago EV. The company’s electric vehicle (EV) portfolio includes the Tigor EV and Nexon EV. The new Tiago EV was unveiled in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex showroom). Bookings for the new electric car will begin next month, with deliveries scheduled for January 2023. The new Tiago EV appears to have the same basic exterior design as the ICE-powered Tiago car. Tata Tiago EV price

The Tiago EV has been launched as the most affordable electric model in Tata Motors’ portfolio. It will launch at a starting price of 8.49 lakh while the Tigor EV starts at 12.49 (ex-showroom) and the flagship Nexon EV priced at 14.99 lakh (ex showroom). Please note that only the first 10,000 customers will receive a new Tata Tiago for 8.49 – 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom) as an introductory offer.

Tata Tiago EV Features

The new Tata Tiago EV has a permanent magnet synchronous motor (24 kW version) that produces 73.7 hp and 114 nm of torque, as well as another 19.2 kW version that produces 60.3 hp and 110 nm of torque. There are two driving modes: City and Sport. Each mode has four different levels of rain settings available.

Furthermore, it also has a range of new and modern features such as automatic headlights, electric ORVMs with automatic folding, cruise control, an 8-speaker Harman infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a digital instrument panel, automatic headlamps, leatherette seats, i-TPMS, smartwatch connectivity, electric tailgate (open) automatic climate control as standard, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start/stop, cooled glovebox, projector headlamps and much more.

Apart from these, the company has claimed that the newly launched electric vehicle can be charged to 80% in 57 minutes. It has been launched in two variants: a 24 kWh battery and a 19.2 kWh battery.
