Speaking at the National Games Sports Conclave together with PV Sindhu, Gagan Narang and Anju Bobby George, Neeraj said he also faced a situation where he felt all was lost, when he was injured twice.
“When we get injured, we feel like it’s all over. I felt it when I got injured for the Worlds in 2019, but I came back. It happened again this year for the CWG. It was never easy both times. , the athlete is forced to answer the question – to continue or not. It all depends on how you answer the question. I decided to go through both times,” Neeraj said.
“In the early stages of an athlete’s career, the role of coaches and trainers is very important. Knowledge of trainers and coaches comes in handy to prevent injuries for the athletes.”
