Interior Minister Amit Shah will pay a two-day visit to Gujarat from Monday, where he will participate in numerous programs, including a farmers’ conference in Ahmedabad.
He will also lay the foundation stones for a hospital in Sanand in Ahmedabad district and a lake beautification project here, according to the program schedule shared by officials.
“Shah will remain in Gujarat on September 26-27, where he will participate in numerous programs,” the government said in a statement.
He will attend a farmers conference at Bavla in Ahmedabad district and will also inaugurate a bridge on SP Ring Road, a primary health center in Sanand and an office of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
Farmers from Shah’s parliamentary constituency of Gandhinagar are organizing the “Rin Sweekar Sammelan” (Conference on Accepting Gratitude) to express their gratitude for providing irrigation facilities in 164 villages, the release said.
“Farmers have been asking for irrigation water for a long time. Shah, as a parliamentarian, advised a permanent solution to the problems of these farmers, after which the Gujarat government included 164 villages under the Fatewadi-Kharikat irrigation project,” the release added.
