Referring to MoS Meenakshi Lekhi’s remarks at the CICA summit in Kazakhstan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi on Oct. 14 said India wants normal relations with Pakistan, but in a favorable atmosphere and free from terrorism. Speaking at a press conference, Bagchi said, “You would have seen the statement from MoS Meenakashi Lekhi, who went as the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy. We had made her intervention public. I cannot say anything further as we have made our position on terrorism from Pakistan clear.”
