In key remarks regarding the party’s prime minister candidate for the next Lok Sabha elections, Congress Chairman Mallikarjun Kharge said on Nov. 1 that the party will form a non-BJP government led by Rahul Gandhi. At a public rally in Hyderabad during Bharat Jodo Yatra, Kharge also attacked the TRS government in Telangana, saying it had supported some bills in parliament opposed by the opposition parties and was now talking about ousting the BJP government in the Center. “Whenever we oppose a law in parliament, they (TRS) supported the BJP, but they still say they will bring a non-BJP government. If anyone has to bring a non-BJP government, it will be us who will form a non-BJP government headed by Rahul Gandhi,” Kharge said.
