Kejriwal Launches WhatsApp Number for People to Contribute to Yoga Teacher Salaries

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued a WhatsApp number on Saturday for people to pledge their contribution to the salaries of yoga teachers under the ‘Dilli Ki Yogshala’ program.

At a press conference here, Kejriwal also accused Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and the BJP of “ruining the lives” of Delhiites by trying to copy the yoga classes and other works carried out by the government of the Aam Aadmi party in the capital. stop.

Kejriwal said those wishing to contribute should message 7277972779 to confirm their willingness to contribute and also state the number of teachers they wish to fund. Each yoga teacher under the scheme will get Rs 15,000 per month.

“Whoever wants to fund the salaries can send a message to the number that they want to contribute for one or two teachers … We will then give them the name of the teacher and have them hand over the check directly to that teacher”, the Chief Minister said, adding the contribution should be in multiples of Rs 15,000.

Kejriwal accused LG Saxena and the BJP of trying to comply with the government’s measures and said: “It was very painful when they stopped the yoga classes. Nearly 17,000 people attended those classes. They said they would not pay the salaries of yoga teachers. Who stops people from doing yoga? It’s a sin.” The government had claimed on Nov. 1 that the LG had not approved the extension of ‘Dilli Ki Yogshala’ beyond Oct. 31, but said the government will make sure the yoga classes don’t stop.

However, sources in the LG secretariat had said that Saxena’s office had not received any file requesting permission to extend the program beyond October 31.

During the press conference, Kejriwal recalled receiving messages from people saying they were ready to support the classes financially.

The prime minister claimed that two crore people from Delhi were one family and hoped they would come forward to support the teachers.
