A Gurugram couple married their beloved pet to a neighboring dog at a traditional Indian wedding. The “Pheras” are captured by the dogs Sheru and Sweety. 100 invitations were sent to the Jile Singh Colony neighborhood in Palam Vihar Extension, according to the pet owners, who claimed they attended the wedding as “Baraatis”.
Savita, the owner of the bitch named Sweety, told ANI: “I am an animal lover and as a couple we took care of pets. I don’t have a child, so Sweety is our child. My husband used to go to the temple to feed animals and one day a stray dog followed him and came to us 3 years ago We called her Sweety Everyone always said we should get Sweety married We discussed it and finally a program was made in just 4 days We decided to do all the rituals follow.”

Presenting her Mehendi, Savita mentioned that rituals such as Haldi and Mehendi were also performed for both dogs. “We’ve been together with Sheru for the past eight years,” said Manita, owner of male Sheru. “We’ve always treated him like our kid. We casually discussed our dogs’ marriage with our neighbors, but then we got serious.” Manita argued that the dog owners took this commitment seriously, making all the necessary preparations and following all the usual rites.
People always said the police would catch them and put them in jail, but they weren’t worried, according to Savita. Being a childless couple, Sweety’s wedding is their only source of happiness. She also says that her husband is overjoyed with Sweety’s marriage.
