The BJP’s Delhi unit released its campaign anthem on Tuesday for the upcoming civil society body polls, highlighting the performance of Narendra Modi’s government and party-run companies during COVID-19 and attacking the AAP on “pollution and corruption”.
The 250 ward Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will head to the polls on December 4, while the results will be announced on December 7.
The song, ‘BJP ka Matlab Sewa Hai’ (BJP means service), sung by MP Manoj Tiwari, tells the “reality of Delhi” and the BJP’s “victory” for the MCD polls, said Adesh Gupta, head of the party’s Delhi branch. the launch event.
The opening line of the song “BJP ka matlab Sewa Hai” is followed by how the Modi government in the center “served people during the pandemic, fed them and saved them by coming out with vaccines”.
It also mentioned the efforts of the former BJP-ruled municipal corporations to remove waste collection points in residential areas and lower the heights of landfills. The song also tells how the Modi government worked on the development of Delhi, including the expansion of the metro network and the construction of a tunnel near Pragati Maidan.
Through the song, the BJP also accuses Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government of turning the Yamuna into a “drain” and turning Delhi into a “gas chamber”.
It also alleged that if not for the three BJP-ruled municipal corporations, the AAP government would have opened liquor stores on every street.
Tiwari said that the main theme of the song “Sewa hi Vichar, Nahi Khokhle Prachar” (service is ideology, not empty publicity) is the opinion of BJP president JP Nadda.
Tiwari, a famous Bhojpuri actor and singer, said the song, his 5,025th, reflected the pain of Delhi.
Delhi Assembly leader Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said the song would help the BJP win 200 out of 250 wards.
