DGP (prisons) HK Lohia was found murdered in his Jammu residence. Lohia, 57, a 1992 IPS officer, was found dead with his throat slit. He was seconded to the DGP (prisons) in August. ADGP Jammu zone Mukesh Singh said the preliminary investigation of the crime scene shows that this is a suspected murder case. “The domestic help with the agent is in hiding. A search for him has been launched,” he said, adding that forensic and crime teams are on the scene. “The investigation has begun and senior officers are on the scene,” the official said.
