NEW DELHI: The BCCI officially ruled out the Indian pacer on Monday Jasper Bumrah from the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia due to a back injury.
“The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasper Bumrah of the ICC Men World Cup T20 plow. The decision was made after a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists,” said a statement from BCCI.

Bumrah was initially banned from the ongoing 3-match T20I series against South Africa.
“The BCCI will shortly appoint a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in the squad selection,” the statement added.
India will begin their campaign on October 23 against arch-rivals Pakistan in Melbourne.
