KOLKATA: Australian pace legend Mitchell Johnson said it’s good for Team India that star batter Virat Kohli is back between runs.
“It’s good for India when their best player can score points and keep the squad confident. He’s that player who changed the focus of the team when he took on the captaincy. The team will be happy to see him score points.” he said. Johnson to ANI on Saturday.

Talking about India’s opportunities in ICC World Cup T20 next month after a subpar Asian Cup in which they finished third in the Super Four stage, Johnson said anything can happen in a World Cup event.
“When it comes to the World Cup, you just enjoy the moment. You have to concentrate, it’s all big games. Indians are used to playing big games because of the IPL, playing in front of big crowds with a lot of pressure.” I think all those things (Asia Cup performance) will be behind them,” he added.
ICC T20 World Cup 2022 starts from October 16 and lasts until November 13.
Speaking about Australia’s upcoming series with India from October 20, Johnson said: “They should try to win the series in difficult circumstances, this will give them confidence on their way to the World Cup. The series, consisting of three T20Is, will start on October 20 and will last until October 25.
Johnson said it’s nice to be back in India and play Legends League Cricket.

Virender Sehwag’s Gujarat Giants and Gautam Gambhir’s India Capitals will open the competition in Kolkata on September 17. Manipal Tigers and Bhilwara Kings will also be part of the four-team competition led by Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan respectively.
Johnson is part of India Capitals.
Besides Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Cuttack and Jodhpur are the other venues for the upcoming edition of Legends League Cricket, which will run until October 8.
