Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik approved Rs 2000 crore master plan for transformation of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) Burla. The state government has set itself the goal of developing it as a multidisciplinary engineering and research university by 2030. The upgrade program will be taken up as part of the state government’s 5T initiative. The enhanced school offers 24 engineering programs under 14 departments with 27 centers of excellence within the institute.
