Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur welcomed the ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) on September 28 and congratulated Union Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah on the decision. Thakur told ANI: “I welcome this move by the central government. They have been conducting suspicious activities in the country for a long time. When the evidence came up several times, the need to take action arose. I congratulate PM and Union HM on this. It’s the right decision.”
