India’s Election Commission on October 14 announced the dates for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh public will go to the polls on November 12 to choose the next government and the results will be announced on December 8. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi on October 14, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said: “We are committed to holding free and fair elections.” He also said: “We have zero tolerance for handing out any form of incentive to voters. GST will look at e-way and goods going to polling stations and neighboring states. Airports will be closely monitored so that no unscheduled flight remains uncontrolled.”
