Pilot believed now is the time to end the climate of indecision in Rajasthan
The political drama in the Rajasthan Congress over a possible leadership change flared up again on Wednesday after former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot demanded action against party MLAs, who recently rose up against the party to support Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Noting that Gehlot had apologized to then-party chief Sonia Gandhi for the resistance shown by his loyalists, Pilot said: “Observers took the situation in Rajasthan seriously. The party has said it was undisciplined. Three MLAs were issued a warning. take action now.”
The Congress leader believed the time had come to end the undisciplined atmosphere in Rajasthan and added: “The Congress is an old party with the same rules for everyone no matter how senior. I’m sure the new president, Mallikarjun Kharge, will take action.”
