How Gmail Tracks Packages

Gmail users can choose to receive package tracking updates directly from their inboxes or in Gmail settings. Gmail will then automatically look up order statuses using their tracking numbers and display them in the inbox.

If you don’t want to receive the package tracking update, you can unsubscribe at any time through your Gmail settings.

Also, in the coming months, Gmail will proactively show a delay label and push the email to the top of your inbox so you don’t miss a beat (or package).
